This Harborview building showcases a site-specific collection of integrated and portable artworks by artists from Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.
The Norm Maleng Building at Harborview Medical Center houses operating rooms, 50 inpatient beds, and acute care, rehabilitation, and clinic facilities. Works from Harborview's art collection and the King County Public Art Collection appear throughout the building.

The main lobby showcases contemporary ceramics, many of which were donated from the personal collection of philanthropist Anne Gould Hauberg. A total of 56 landscape artworks hang on the walls of the public corridors, chosen from a national open call in 2008 that generated more than 900 submissions. On each of the building’s six floors, six artists from Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho created site-specific works for the elevator landings, giving each space a memorable and unique visual identity that helps patients and visitors orient themselves.
