Landing: Sand Point Naval Air Station

My grandfather landed
a Lockheed P-3 Orion at Sand Point
fifteen years after WWII.

Forty years later,
my sons and I pick blackberries

where fighter jet runways
turned into soccer fields,
underground explosives magazines
serve as bike ramps,
and decommissioned submarine fins
look like a pod of orcas.
