The call for our Fall 2025 season is open! Join us at A-Z West for 2–4 weeks in the California High Desert. This residency invites participants to engage deeply with the rhythms of occupying and sustaining A-Z West, explore experimental living structures, and become part of an intimate creative community. Work Trade residents contribute 15 hours per week in exchange for lodging and studio access.
We encourage residents to explore the idea of a “life practice”—an opportunity to reflect on the interconnectedness of art, life, and environment—and consider its various formats as influenced by culture and context.
Apply by May 1, 2025 for a residency between September 15 and December 15, 2025.
