Eligibility: Experience working with children and have significant theatre knowledge Assistant Directors must be able to work 8:30am-3:00pm weekdays during the summer. First aid and CPR certification training (within 30 days) of hiring paid for by Stone Soup Theatre All child serving employees must have the covid-19 vaccine, partake in safety abuse training, and pass a background check, as required by the state of Washington.
Work with youth ages 5-17 each week to develop skills and perform short productions ranging from musical adaptations like Beetlejuice and Frozen, and new stories from the worlds of Alice in Wonderland and Wizarding School. At Stone Soup Theatre, we focus on creating a space where young actors can explore, play, and discover the joy of storytelling. We use simple costumes, sets, and props to spark imagination and let the story come alive through their eyes and ideas. It’s about having fun, being creative, and sharing stories together. Your duties:
Assisting the Director in the creation of live theatre pieces.
Supervising, guiding and encouraging young performers.
Organizing materials including (but not limited to) scripts, PPE, attendance sheets and first aid.
Coordinating props and costumes.
