SEA Airport- Public Art Open Call (RFQ): South Concourse Evolution
- Deadline:
- Budget: $50,000
-
Eligibility: Nation-wide (United States) open call.
The Port of Seattle’s Public Art program seeks two (2) qualified multi-disciplinary visual artists or artist teams to submit their qualifications. Each Artist will create a unique art installation within SEA Airport’s South Concourse (SEA).
At this stage, the design contract will focus on preliminary conceptual design during which the selected artists will collaborate closely with the Public Art team, Port Stakeholders, project’s Design Team, and contractors to approve the feasibility of their design concept and provide a final conceptual design for approval.
Once the conceptual design is approved, and as the project schedule progresses, the artists will be approved to amend the contract for final design, fabrication, and installation phases. The final design shall include a schedule and budget for project completion. The artwork must consider the aesthetic of the environment, facility and redevelopment design while ensuring ease of long-term maintenance and conservation. The Artists work should be appropriate for public presentation considering the wide range of visitors, both local and international, to the airport.
