4Culture Poetry in Public will be showcased at the Old Firehouse Teen Center on the iconic Poetry Bus. The event will feature poets curated by Poetry in Public Youth Community Liaison Sierra Nelson, an open mic ready for you to perform your own poetry, activities, and opportunities to meet and connect with other kids and teens who love poetry or are interested in expressing themselves through poetry.

About the Old Fire House Teen Center

The Old Fire House Teen Center empowers teens through art and service leadership opportunities. Located in the heart of downtown Redmond, teens in middle through high school are encouraged to join the teen center to explore their passions, connect with friends, learn new skills, practice leadership among peers, and have a good time in a uniquely teen-centered space. The Old Firehouse Teen Center focuses on process and youth voice in everything it does.

The Old Firehouse Teen Center celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018 and are proud of its roots as the longest-standing all-ages event center in the greater Seattle area. It’s growing and changing to reflect the interests of today's youth.
