About Pista sa Nayon

Pista sa Nayon is a beautiful expression of cultural pride and traditions among local Filipinos. In the spirit of community and true Filipino hospitality, Pista extends a hand of friendship and welcomes neighbors from across this region and beyond to experience all things Filipino. Pista is a festival that celebrates the Filipino culture while allowing a melting pot of people to come together as one.

Founded in 1990 by then-King County Councilmember Ron Sims and leaders of the Filipino Community, Pista was established out of a desire to preserve and celebrate their culture, it also serves as a bridge to bring people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate as a community. People of all backgrounds and from all communities in the region are invited to enjoy an authentic Filipino event with food; business, information, and arts & crafts booths; cultural and contemporary live entertainment; and children's games. We come together to learn, preserve and celebrate Filipino culture.
